The Adams
County Health Center Dental Clinic is also partnered
with the Idaho State University Rural Residency Rotation
which allows for rotations of ISU dental residents.
Dental
residents are graduates of dental school the year prior
to their residency. They complete an optional one year
Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through
Idaho
State University. The residency is based out of Boise.
During
the residency, dental residents are given the opportunity
to work with a variety of specialists to give them a broader
area of expertise. In addition, they rotate through Council
on their rural rotation with each of the four residents
spending four total days here - two in the Fall and two
in the Spring. The idea is to expose them to the challenges
and experiences rural dentistry can bring.
