In an effort to improve the oral health of our youth, Adams County Health Center, Inc.'s Dental Department offered a free dental sealant clinic to our local elementary school.

The sealant clinic was possible, in part, from contributions by the Oral Health America's National Sealant Alliance as well as from corporate sponsors such as Omni and 3M.

Council Elementary's sealant clinic was held on October 2, 2009 at the Adams County Health Center. Transportation was provided to and from the school by the ACHC van.

The Sealant Clinic was a huge success! Out of the 68 signed permission forms, we saw 55 children, 7 were absent, and we were unable to see the remaining 6 due to time restraints. We scheduled a make-up day for those who were absent or did not get seen and provided sealant clinics at Midvale, Cambridge and New Meadows schools. We conducted those clinics on-site using our portable dental equipment.
