Adams
County Behavioral Health Services (ACBHS) is a division
of the Adams County Health Cener, Inc. We employ staff
who assist adults, children, and families who
are experiencing challenges with daily living.
We
have a
diverse, qualified staff serving individuals and families.
A sampling of our qualifications
include the following:
- Educational
backgrounds including Bachelors of Science in Psychology
and Masters of Marriage and Family
Counseling
- Play
therapy and other creative/expressive methods
- Membership
in professional organizations and continuing education
credits
We provide
assessment, treatment planning, counseling, individual and group therapy
and assistance in
developing life skills. All services are strictly confidential
and specific to each individual’s needs.
ACBHS seeks to provide high quality Behavioral
Health Care services to the residents of Adams County and
the surrounding
areas, regardless of social or economic status.
Idaho
Medicaid is accepted for individuals who are eligible through
Idaho Health and Welfare. All other insurances are also
accepted. A sliding fee scale is
available for those that qualify. Services offered
include:
Individual
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services for Children,
Adolescents, and Families: This
entails providing services in home, community, and
school settings, addressing symptom management, family,
medical,
social, vocational or educational, housing, ADL skills,
and
financial issues. Targeted
Case Management Services for
Adult Mental Health:
We identify and link resources necessary to assist
the individual in remaining independent, as well as
advocate on the client’s behalf in an effort
to keep all links viable.
Diagnostic Criteria for
Children/Adolescents
1. Communication Disorders, such as Expressive Language Disorder,
Mixed Receptive-Expressive Disorder, Communication
Disorder NOS
2. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: combined type,
NOS
3. Oppositional Defiant Disorder
4. Disruptive Behavior Disorder NOS
5. Separation Anxiety Disorder, specify if early onset
6. Reactive Attachment Disorder of Infancy, or Early Childhood
7. Depression
8. Bipolar I Disorder
9. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Diagnostic Criteria for
Adults
1. Schizophrenia Disorder
2. Schizoaffective Disorder
3. Bipolar I Disorder
4. Bipolar II Disorder
5. Major Depressive Disorder, Severe
6. Delusional Disorder
7. Borderline Personality Disorder
8. Psychotic Disorder NOS, for a max of 120 days without
conclusive diagnosis
