Dear Health Center Patron,
We
are in the process of building a Story Bank or Testimonials.
These
stories will be used in conjunction with our marketing
efforts at
ACHC. In the search for funding opportunities (i.e. grants,
foundation gifts etc.) ACHC is regularly asked to provide
statements of the community's support or of exceptional
services that have been provided by ACHC.
We
are asking you, our users, to share with us any experiences
connected with your usage of our health center and any statements
of support for ACHC that you will allow us to share in our
efforts to inform the community of the value of the Adams
County Health Center.
If
you have a story to tell, please enter your thoughts below
into the Webmail form. If you would prefer to write
them on paper, please do so. If you would like assistance,
stop by ACHC and ask for Denise or Gene. Please check the
areas on the Webform that authorize ACHC to use your
information.
As
someone who knows the personal, social and economic value
of this health center, your input is vital. Your stories
telling the value of your health center carry an enormous
amount of influence with your legislators. Your help will
ensure that ACHC is a viable community asset for many generations
to come. We appreciate your consideration of our request
and recognize the importance of "patient voice and community
choice".
Best
Regards,
Denise

"Jean
Cole
Just
a note to express my gratitude and appreciation for
your kind and effective therapy sessions. They
helped me a lot. I still do the exercises about 3 times
a week. I am walking better too. We are and have been
tied up with details of home purchase and impending
move to Nampa. Our kids down there are insisting on
it.
Thanks
also for your friendship."

" To:
Adams’ County
Health Center, 08/08/09
Thank you for the good service these last three years
when we moved here from California.
Last year, I had a very bad abscessed tooth and my
dentist Dr. Eppich was booked full for two weeks, so
I went to Dr. Linford for some pain pills and antibiotics.
When he saw how bad it was he called Dr. Eppich and
had him see me that day. Once there, he had to lance
the tooth and remove the bridge from the tooth so it
could drain for several days until the job could be
finished.
P.S. Also Thank you for the Adams’ County Health
Center Pharmacy so we don’t have to go to Wal-Mart
in Ontario Oregon to get my medications because you
have matched their prices.
Thank
you again, Mrs. Patricia Shaw, Indian Valley, Idaho"

"I
would just like to say that for 25 years that the Council
Clinic (ACHC) has always been there for me and my family.
My oldest son, Brian, was born there when it was a
hospital, and we have needed them ever since for cuts
and scrapes, illnesses and everything in between. My
most recent visit, thanks to Christopher Sundquist
PA-C, caught my lung and brain cancer in its early
stages which I will be forever grateful. The staff
is the most courteous and helpful with every aspect
of your visit to the clinic. Thanks to all who are
involved with the clinic and keep up the good work."

"My
family has been blessed time & time again
by God's work within the hands & minds of the staff at
Adams County Health Center. Only being here in Council since
April
2004, we have put our lives in their hands numerous times.
Literally!
From
emergency surgeries, small scrapes & bruises,
broken bones, determining treatment for healing, administering
medication, and most importantly, each one of the staff members
took their own time to get to know Roy & I and our kids
on a personal basis. We are grateful each & every day
for the staff there."

My
husband, Philip, and I have owned property at Glendale
for over 30 years. In earlier years members of
our family took advantage of emergency services on several
occasions. At that time the hospital was fully functioning.
Now that we are dependent on Adams County Health Center (we
are in our 80’s, and children and grandchildren often
visit) we have had to visit the center on several occasions – for
a cut, a bad burn, a virulent stomach upset and several pro-time
checks. It is a great source of security to know that these
facilities are nearby, especially for elderly people and
children.
At
all times our visits have been more than satisfactory,
provided by a pleasant and helpful staff with
well informed
and efficient treatment. We feel that this health center
is absolutely necessary to meet the health needs of the
Council are and Adams County.

The Adams County Health
Center has been an invaluable source of help for my husband
and I. Dan has needed health care relating to allergies.
He is always taken care of by the medical staff.
In
June of 2004, I broke my hip. It was at the health clinic
that I received a proper diagnosis, medicine
for pain, and help in finding and setting up an appointment
with an orthopedic surgeon.
In July of 2006, I was having trouble breathing.
Again, the help that I received was excellent. I was given
a breathing treatment before I left the clinic, and then
medicine was ordered to help me breathe. I received the medicine
the next day.
I appreciate the staff at this clinic and all
of the hard work that they have given in order to insure
that our community will have excellent health care available
to us.
For
some time now I have been a patient of Dr. Deland Barr.
But unforeseen in March I had a heart attack and multiple
strokes. Of course the hospital and therapy changed my medication.
I was home a couple of weeks when I was terribly dehydrated.
Dr. Barr saw me after that and took the medication down.
Then a few weeks later I was hemorrhaging and when we arrived
at the Health Center the personnel were waiting with the
doors open. Dr. Barr took care of me after that.
Dr.
Barr and Dr. Linford both have been most helpful and concerned
about my health. They and the office personnel
have been most helpful and accommodating. Much thanks to all.
